Using only the highest quality materials and jewelry making techniques we aim to make pieces that last a lifetime - effectively changing the way we shop. Being a responsible shopper isn’t easy - yet it should be.

Hi lovelies!

My name is Pelin, the creator of Milk and Rose. I started this journey in 2018 with the dream of making a difference with right intentions and actions.

With the crucial state of our environmental destruction, we consumers decide what is being put in our world by our demand. I wanted create a marketplace where you feel safe supporting by knowing you are not being a part of the problem, but the solution. Of course it’s best if we don’t consume at all unless there is a need, but it’s in our nature and can be done responsibly. I support every small and large business that follow the right ideals. They are not competition, they are team members. We are all in this together. 

My goal moving forward is to expand my product categories with these same ideals to offer an alternative marketplace to the businesses that care more about capital than our future.

  • Sustainability.

    What we love the most about our production process is the efficiency of energy and material savings. Nothing is thrown away at Milk and Rose. Damaged items including your returns get reworked and resold keeping the metal waste at its lowest. This is another reason why we only use fine metals, we can upcycle fine metals without releasing toxic chemicals.

  • Responsibility.

    We set out to change the way we consume, not just when it is convenient. Thus, we have set out to create a brand that builds sustainable practices at every turn. Every item that comes from our studio is 100 percent biodegradable. Not only that, we have certified our packaging with FSC; so we know our biodegradable packaging is also supporting the environment.

  • Accessibility.

    No more compromising between price and quality. Most companies have a 10x markup on all their precious metals. This restricts many consumers from choosing quality jewelry that will not harm them. Because we create everything in house - in our small studio, supporting only 2 artisans, we are able to offer our high quality products at competitive prices.

  • Fair Wages.

    We have 2 long-time artisans that are paid fairly and treated ethically. We support the living wage and provide safe and healthy working conditions. Our process is slow and we aim to keep it that way to avoid high pressure at our studio.

  • Woman-Owned.

    Milk and Rose is woman owned and operated.

  • Fair Trade.

    We produce most of our products outside of the US. Our products are either made in Italy or Turkey. Whenever possible, the materials sourced for our products are local to the region where they were manufactured and eco-friendly practices are used in our manufacturing process.

  • Handcrafted.

    Our handmade products are made using traditional methods of jewelry making. We start from scrap silver or silver beads and build from there. Because of the nature of handmade jewelry we are able to offer customizations as well.
